What this policy covers

SoundDrop lets you paste public SoundCloud links and convert supported content to MP3, WAV, MP4 or artwork files. This page explains what is processed while that happens.

Links and media

Links you paste are resolved on demand to read public track metadata and available media sources. Audio and artwork stream through a signed same-origin connection while a download runs; they are not archived, re-hosted or shared. Public metadata may be cached for a short time (minutes) to keep the tools fast.

Local processing

WAV encoding, 320kbps MP3 encoding and MP4 rendering run inside your browser. The resulting files never leave your device except as your own download.

Accounts

The public tools require no account. Optional sign-in features of the underlying platform (if enabled) are covered by the authentication provider's own processing.

Technical records

Standard, minimal server logs (IP-based rate limiting and error diagnostics) are kept short-term for security and reliability. No advertising or cross-site tracking profiles are built by SoundDrop itself.
